Startup Grind, Powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, Selects Kylar.io for the SoCal 2016 Startup Exhibit

Born in St. Louis, MO, at the age of 23, Jared Arms founded the mobile startup Kylar.io, an Android Consulting and App Development Company for Startups & Corporations Worldwide. Jared’s mission is to push mobile technologies to the limit and work with teams of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of Android applications.

Startup Grind, a community for entrepreneur meetups, has partnered with Google For Entrepreneurs to provide global resources and technology. On September 27th, 2016, Startup Grind will be showcasing 50 selected startups to be featured at the 2016 SoCal Conference at the Skirball Cultural Center. 1 of the 50 startups will be Kylar.io

On July 4, 2013 Jared Arms, launched Kylar.io after identifying "untapped" tech problems within under served communities. Using the power of social media, Jared began networking with businesses to increase the awareness of the Kylar.io platform. One year later, Jared launched Kylar.io for Kids, a program that teaches students grades k-8, the fundamental coding skills and professional experiences that creates careers in STEM. After just teaching his first class, Jared's program was selected as a standard computer curriculum within selected St. Louis charter schools.

In early 2015, Jared relocated from Missouri to New York to begin expanding the Kylar.io network. In the process of developing Android apps for popular companies, his reputation quickly started to spread throughout the boroughs of New York. Jared not only caught the attention, but also received recognition from some of the largest companies in the tech industry such as, Google & Facebook.

In late 2015, Jared returned to St. Louis, MO, after graciously accepting several invitations from local colleges to speak about his journey in the big apple. With overwhelming success fastly approaching, Jared was contacted by former CTO of the United States, Todd Park, who heard about his personal story from White House Chief Data Scientist, Dr. DJ Patil. This inspired Jared to change his mission at Kylar.io, from local to globalization.

It wasn't long before the fame and momentum started to build. In Feb. 2016 Jared made his first TV appearance on the Daily Mix Show, which made Kylar.io a household name.

Consistently innovating, improving, and impacting youth, Startup Grind, Powered by Google for Entrepreneurs selected Kylar.io to showcase its startup at the Startup Grind 2016 SoCal Conference, to be held September 27th at the marvelous Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA.

The SoCal 2016 will have over 1,000 entrepreneurs and investors for a whole day of stories and strategies from 50 speakers building empires in technology, media, film, and entertainment. Southern California will be host to conversations on technology's influence in the region, investing, and building companies in Los Angeles and beyond.

Without a doubt, Jared continues to inspire other upcoming coders and tech-entrepreneurs by encouraging and influencing them to make their impact in technology.
